JOB SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility is to provide directed support to the assigned Synagro Dryer Facility operations to lead efforts in problem definition, data collection/analysis and in the development of data driven recommendations utilizing both Facility and Corporate resources that result in problem resolution. In essence, leading root cause investigations and driving corrective actions through to resolution. Secondary responsibility to provide general process review, engineering support and improvements for high-cost maintenance and repair efforts, operations optimization, data acquisition and analysis, troubleshooting, outage planning and execution of capital projects to improve safety, efficiency, reliability and reduce costs at Synagro Facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Self-directed resource with leadership tendencies that allow for situational deployment success in obtaining Facility management buy-in to process data driven problem solving and solution implementation.
- Identification of facility operations design basis KPIs and the development of data monitoring and data analysis processes that result in improved facility operations utilization that result in driving and executing day-to-day success.
- Develop best practices, data review and collection to improve safety, production rates and product quality.
- Provide engineering support to existing facility operations for problem identification and resolution, implementation, and training in new strategies to improve operational safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Provide technical evaluation, recommendations and guidance for capital project development and implementation, including the design, modification and/or upgrade of plant equipment.
- Monitor assigned project scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
- Conduct pro-active investigations and root cause analysis to identify engineering design flaws and/or operational challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline highly desired.
- 5-7 years’ experience in technical Project Management of industrial/manufacturing technologies, with biosolids experience a plus.
- Prior experience designing, troubleshooting, operating, or maintaining facilities required.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling, process systems, composting or thermal treatment.
- Field or operational experience with an understanding of procedures and field implementation strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in leadership and team building.
- General computer proficiency. (Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, TapRoot, and AutoCAD).
- Strong communication skills, oral and written.

Related industry licenses and certifications desirable (PE, CEM, PMP, etc.)
