Reports to: Dental Director
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated Dental Hygienist, who is focused on providing patients with the
most advanced comprehensive dental care available. Our practice is very hygiene-focused,
preventative treatment focused, and with a robust Latino population.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform dental prophylaxis and scaling/root planing
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Take x-rays and CT scans, occasionally intraoral scans
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cloud based dental software
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office area
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
- Collaborate with dental assistants, and front office staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with other members and departments of the CAMINO organization for a holistic
approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (ability to speak Spanish is a plus)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and managing paperwork
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor is a must!
REQUIREMENTS
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
● 8 hour shift
● Day shift
● Potential weekends for mobile events
Experience:
● Dental hygiene: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
License/Certification:
● NC RDH License required
