Are you a logistics expert ready to coordinate and streamline both domestic and international operations? We're looking for a Logistics Coordinator to oversee our freight, shipping, and supply chain efforts, ensuring smooth operations across the board. What You’ll Do:
Freight and Carrier Negotiations:
- Negotiate rates and contracts with freight carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor carrier performance to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Domestic Shipment Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate domestic shipments while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Track shipments from dispatch to final delivery, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
International Shipping (China Inbound):
- Manage inbound shipments from China, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders for container bookings, documentation, and port schedules.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and support a small team of logistics specialists and warehouse personnel.
- Foster a collaborative environment, promoting problem-solving and efficient workflows.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage inventory levels and reduce backorders.
- Work closely with purchasing and production teams to ensure logistics operations meet business needs.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Maintain shipping documentation and records for audits and compliance.
- Analyze shipping performance and costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination—experience in home electronics or consumer goods is a plus, but not required.
- Strong negotiation skills with freight carriers and 3PL providers.
- Knowledge of domestic freight management and international shipping, particularly from China.
- Ability to lead a small team and foster a positive, productive work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination.
