Interior Designer / Project Manager
Hello Design Community, K+CO Living is seeking an Interior Designer / Project Manager to join our growing company. This is a creative position for an energetic and positive team player with a strong understanding of construction, interior architecture, design and styling. This position is ideal for a self starter who wants to oversee and manage luxury residential projects from concept to completion.
As a member of the K+CO team, this individual will solidify the scope of the project proposal, work on the creative and construction concepts and materials, oversee all client communication, problem solve, and guide the completion of the project per time and budget specifications with architects, contractors and clients. They will ensure projects meet project / client specifications, goals, and quality standards and work in a dynamic, creative, fast paced environment.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- A minimum of 3+ years project management experience.
- Experience in interior design / furnishings sourcing, selection and pricing.
- Understanding of new home construction and renovation.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Project Management experience: FF&E, budgets, timelines.
- Adept at project management tools like Asana or Monday.com.
- Outstanding communication and client, subcontractor and vendor skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Expert in developing architectural details from cabinetry to millwork.
- Knowledge of CAD, Sketch-Up, and Canva. Ability to draw elevations, sections and details.
- Studio Designer is a plus or equivalent pricing and proposal system.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive and Drop Box.
- Strong team player who works well with others, while also able to work independently without supervision.
- MUST have a car and be willing to assist in pick-ups deliveries and client visits.
Project Management Experience Should Include:
- Planning the project from conception to implementation.
- Mapping out a schedule and timeline.
- Executing and tracking each phase of the project.
- Creating, allocating, and managing the budget.
- Communicating among all stakeholders.
- Addressing project opportunities and issues proactively at the job site with contractors.
- Delivering the end product, and meeting project goals.
