I work directly with a world leading manufacturer of advanced technology and optical connectivity solutions, and we're excited to add a Quality Engineer, IATF to our expanding team. Salary: $90-95K base
Primary Purpose:
This role ensures that the company's products and services meet internal and external standards, including customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining quality systems, addressing customer concerns, and collaborating across departments like Quality, Production, Engineering, and Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing process control plans (e.g., capability studies, Gage R&R).
- Monitor production processes to ensure they meet control plans and customer requirements.
- Participate in APQP and prepare PPAP packages in line with customer specifications.
- Lead SPC activities, set objectives, and introduce new techniques for quality improvement.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO9001, and other standards.
- Facilitate problem-solving with Operations, addressing quality issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze root causes of quality concerns, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the liaison for customer quality issues and provide timely reports.
- Train employees on quality standards and processes.
- Support First Article Inspections and assist in process development and improvement projects.
- Provide guidance to the Quality team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Lean manufacturing.
- 2-year technical degree required; 4-year degree preferred.
- IATF 16949 certification.
