Overview:
We're searching for relay testing technicians, transformer specialists, substation technicians and also NETA certified technicians on projects in Texas, Alabama and Kansas.

We are looking for an experienced Substation Technician to support a team of relay testing & transformer techs to maintain substation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and switchgear.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of substation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform necessary repairs as needed.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as required.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in substation maintenance or related electrical work.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
