TrueLine Land Survying LLC is seeking to fill a Project Manager position in Knoxville, TN. TrueLine is a land surveying firm specializing in boundary and subdivisions. geospatial mapping, remote sensing, commercial surveys, and aerial LiDAR.
The Land Survey Project Manager performs Boundary Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Topographic Surveys, prepare Subdivision Plats, prepare Legal Descriptions, Construction Staking & As-Built surveys, and various other types of surveys. Also performs public record research and calculations to resolve property boundaries and rights of way; will review survey technician’s work and serve as project manager on various sized survey projects. You will assist in crew scheduling for multiple crews and help prepare crews for their field work. You will assist and/or prepare construction staking calculations and reports as needed. You will manage a team of field and office survey personnel performing a variety of different survey talks. You may be required to work in the field on occasion and make sure equipment is maintained, repaired, and calibrated as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible to manage a team performing survey calculations, analysis and final map creation, abstracting title data, record drawings research, and client relations
- Coordination with clients, crews, and technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities
- Coordination with the Management Team on strategic business priorities, scheduling objectives and project milestones
- Assignment of daily responsibilities for survey field crews and office technicians
- Perform boundary analysis for large-scale sectionalized land surveys
- Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey related documents
- Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and preliminary project deliverables
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Professional Surveyor in the State of Tennessee or ability to obtain license within 12 months
- 2 years of post-registration experience with 4 years progressive survey experience
- Four-year degree in Geomatics or related field highly preferred
- Strong technical skills, including experience with AutoCAD and Carlson Survey
- Experience with aerial or mobile LiDAR platforms and software highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale private sector survey projects
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
