Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience handling civil matters in Court. This role will work closely with partners civil matters in all stages of litigation from pre-litigation through trial. Our client is a mid-sized firm founded in 1979 with approximately 30 lawyers in our principal office in Irvine. They serve clients throughout California in a variety of different practice areas including trust and estate litigation, business litigation, insurance coverage and defense, construction litigation, business counseling and transactions, estate planning, architect and engineer representation, and employment law.
Job Duties:
- Research and draft initial petitions and responsive pleadings
- Research and prepare motions, written discovery, mediation materials, and trial documents
- Appear in court for contested and uncontested hearings
- Interact with clients and opposing counsel in a courteous and thoughtful manner
- Meet or exceed the required annual billable hours
