We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company located in Waukesha County. This is a unique leadership opportunity to step into a role where you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 engineers, driving project execution, and mentoring future leaders within the organization. The current Engineering Manager, who has been with the company for over 35 years, is planning for retirement, and we’re looking for a successor who can learn the ropes and transition into the role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of design engineers.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to foster team growth and future leadership.
- Oversee multiple engineering projects, ensuring timelines and goals are met.
- Focus on process improvement, time management, and project prioritization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to strategically elevate the engineering department.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience in design engineering and team leadership.
- Strong ability to coach and develop engineers into leadership roles.
- Highly organized with a process-oriented approach to project management.
- Experience in metals or soft materials is a plus but not required.
