ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Service Desk Technician (Engineering-Focused) for a technology support role which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in IT support and engineering-focused troubleshooting looking to further their career in technical support and infrastructure management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues, providing troubleshooting and resolution.
- Perform on-site visits to local clients to resolve complex issues and handle engineering-related tasks.
- Assist with network and infrastructure design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Implement, manage, and maintain various client environments (cloud, hybrid, and on-premises).
- Embrace knowledge sharing and collaboration with fellow service desk members.
- Document processes, solutions, and technical configurations in the company’s knowledge base.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a service desk or IT support role, with a strong engineering focus.
- Experience with Azure, Office 365, networking, and other infrastructure technologies.
- Familiarity with managing both Windows and macOS environments.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and configuring firewalls, VPNs, and network devices (Meraki experience is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to self-start, work unsupervised, and work collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be willing to travel locally to client sites as required.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or higher
- ITIL Foundation certification
- 2-year College Degree or Equivalent experience a plus
