Manufacturer is seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for a specific area of the plant and oversee direct and indirect reports in operations. As the Operations Manager, you will report to a Senior Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing production team; coach, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve goals
- Ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery
- Oversee and optimize production schedules
- Monitor, analyze and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify and address trends to improve departmental performance
- Initiate continuous improvement projects
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement solutions
- Participate in leadership meetings and update management on the department's status
- Complete required reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize production
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Other duties as assigned
This is a fast-paced position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 70% of the time engaging and developing their workforce. Individuals should be able to work within team oriented environments, be flexible with work duties, learn new tasks quickly, be able to handle changing priorities and enjoy supporting the manufacturing site by empowering their staff. The ideal candidate will want to learn from their hourly team members and listen to their recommendations for improvements.

REQUIREMENTS for the Operations Manager:
1. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; a high school diploma and/or GED is required
2. At least three years in a similar manufacturing management position
3. Experience overseeing direct and indirect production reports
4. Experience overseeing a staff of at least 50 people
5. A proven track record of continuous improvements, including scrap reductions, efficiency improvements, etc.
6. Microsoft Office experience, including strong MS Excel skills
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Findlay, OH area. There is no relocation package available for this position.
