Location: Determined based on assignment and project location.
Pay: 175-200k depending on experience

Position Overview

The Project Manager handles overall execution and management responsibilities related to the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a Power Plant facility. He or she manages the EPC Contract, Owner relations, OEMs, EORs, regulatory requirements, as well as ensures a smooth integration with other Project components including subcontractor, labor, landowner and community relations. The Project Manager is responsible for resolving all construction (commercial and contractual) related issues and managing project budget, schedule, QA/QC, safety and reporting.
Responsibilities
- The Project Managers has ownership of overall project cost (profit and loss as well as risk management), schedule, safety & quality, as well as engineering and construction of the power plant, in addition to the following: Will be the senior on-site, full-time, company representative performing the functions listed below.
- Maintain relationship with Owner and Owner’s representative during the life of the project to ensure Owner needs are met and contractual obligations are satisfied, while simultaneously keeping the project moving forward.
- Know and execute to the contract.
- Lead, manage and direct project teams by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives.
- Ensure project scope or work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood.
- Play an active role in all major subcontractor, vendor, and labor negotiations and final approvals.
- Utilize established tools and procedures to monitor project success.
- Ensure adherence to standards, permits, performance, quality and safety expectations
- Responsible for project Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Share key lessons learned to enable continuous improvement across all projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with complex EPC projects, with the emphasis on simple and combined cycle thermal power plant projects.
- Proven track record (minimum 10 years) in delivering power projects with experience managing overall scope and budgets.
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to negotiate suitable outcomes that mitigate project risks.
- Ability to identify potential delays in project plan, develop a plan to resolve potential delays and mitigate impacts to the overall project cost and schedule.
- Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project controls and administration, including Primavera, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Teams, and Outlook.
