Position Summary
We are looking to hire a part-time experienced Photo Studio Set Builder to assist in various tasks to aid operations at our photo studio for 16-24 hours per week between the working hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. This person should be handy, comfortable with operating hand and power tools and physically able. You will have an important role assisting in the construction of our photo studio sets for indoor and outdoor, which also includes landscaping & transporting materials, as well as keeping track of our product samples. Essential Functions
Indoor
- Work closely with photo stylist to plan and prepare products for sets
- Assist in assembling and the set-up of product samples
- Tear down sets and collaborate with the stylist to clean, and return products and props
- Label & return product samples to the warehouse
- Keep studio clean and organized
- Pick up product & material orders, load and unload materials, pack products and props for off-site photoshoots
- Build and or, modify photography sets as needed i.e., Construction of temporary walls, laying flooring, painting, faux-finishing and wallpapering
Outdoor (seasonal)
- Assist with set up, and or, building of temporary structures (fencing, pavers, siding, etc.)
- Follow instructions to perform manual labor tasks
- Landscaping (laying pavers, trimming, planting, etc.)
Physical Demand
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, hands, fingers, legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials
- Perform repetitive motions using your hands and fingers such as, but not limited to, grasping, gripping, and holding
- Team and solo lifts, up-to 100lbs

Experience
- Previous experience in either shop work, theater/scenic/set-building background, carpentry and/or construction
- Aptitude for mechanics – can follow creative direction from photo stylist to fully build out set designs
- Ability to operate a forklift
