The ideal candidate will own the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage production teams, external resources, and coordinate operations across various departments (e.g., maintenance, QA/QC, engineering).
- Develop and implement schedules, processes, and allocate resources to maximize productivity and ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure continuous performance improvements in safety, quality, and productivity; address problems, recommend solutions, and support staff development.
- Oversee adherence to company policies, safety standards, and ensure proper training, coaching, and recruitment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage quality control, and collaborate on capital budgeting, process optimization, and R&D projects.
Experience required:
- Prior experience within nonwovens, paper or tissue manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Systemic individual who can ensure paperwork and procedures are followed
- Strong leadership skills, experienced driving accountability and ensuring programs are kept up to date (quality, training, maintenance, documentation etc)
- Prior experience leading a production line
- Willing to be hands on with operators to demonstrate proper machine procedures
- Knowledge of budgets, costing, management principles, and procedures
