Key Technical Skills:
SQL: Proficiency in SQL is essential, as most of the work will involve data analytics, developing pipelines, and monitoring key performance indicators.
Tableau & Qlik Sense: Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Qlik Sense is required, with a preference for Qlik Sense as the team transitions from Tableau.
Building Data Pipelines:
Python (Nice-to-Have): While Python is not mandatory, familiarity with Python or PySpark is preferred, as the team is transitioning to using these for advanced analytics and handling large datasets.
AWS Athena & Redshift: Experience with AWS Athena is essential, while Redshift is considered a plus.
Experimentation (A/B Testing or Bayesian Testing): Familiarity with experimentation methodologies is crucial for conducting A/B tests and analyzing their impact on product growth.
Analytical and Business Skills:
Web, Customer, or Product Analytics: Experience in customer or product analytics would be highly beneficial for this role.
Reporting & Communication: Strong presentation skills are necessary for sharing key performance indicators and experimental results with leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Interaction: Although the role is not heavily stakeholder-facing, there will be some interaction, making communication skills important.
Additional Considerations:
Hybrid Work Model: The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days a week in the office, with a preference for candidates located in San Diego or the Bay Area.
Experience Level: Candidates with 5+ years of experience are preferred, but the team is open to considering individuals with more seniority if their skills align.
A possible hands-on technical test via the Glider platform, primarily focused on SQL.
