Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Kyle, TX. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: Kyle, TX
Job Type: 03- 06+ Months - W2 contract - with possible extension
Schedule: 3rd shift (2100-0730) rotating weekends and holidays Training on first shift hours 2 weeks
Pay Range: $30-$40 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities are interchangeable within the job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist, or clinical laboratory scientist.
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
- Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

NOTE: GENERALIST EXPERIENCE AND BLOOD BANK EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED [at least 1 year]
Medical Lab Technologist / CLS / MLS [HM is open to MLT with the right experience.
