Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Processor to join our team, specializing in Commercial Property Loans, Fix & Flip Loans, Ground-Up Construction Loans, Multifamily, and Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) loans. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling complex loan files and will work closely with originators, underwriters, and the closing department to ensure smooth and efficient processing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect, package, review, and reconcile loan application documents.
- Order and perform preliminary reviews of third-party reports, including appraisals, inspections, and environmental reports.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of loan application data to ensure it meets established standards.
- Respond to inquiries regarding loan applications and transactions.
- Run and/or review credit reports, verifying employment information through calls or written communications.
- Track and record loan status, including new applications, approvals, cancellations, and denials.
- Collaborate with originators to clear any outstanding conditions before submitting loan packages to the closing department.
- Work closely with offshore processing teams to streamline the loan process.
- Liaise with Underwriting and Closing teams to ensure smooth, end-to-end loan processing.
- Maintain ongoing communication with external customers, internal departments, and third-party vendors to foster positive business relations and provide updates on loan status.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2-year degree.
- At least 4 years of experience as a mortgage processor, experienced in handling Commercial Property Loans, Fix & Flip, Ground-Up Construction, Multifamily, and DSCR loans.
- Must be willing to work onsite as required by management.
- Strong understanding of administrative and clerical processes, including managing files and records.
- Must be open to working in a hybrid onsite arrangement (subject to change).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of thriving in a high-energy, deadline-driven work setting.
- Resourceful problem solver, capable of finding alternative solutions or approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with all phases of loan processing and regulatory requirements.
