Cash Application Representative
The Cash Application Representative will assist in ensuring that the company applies payment for goods and services offered to clients.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:
- Apply receipts daily for all credit card settlements, wires, ACH/EFTS, and manual deposits.
- Work with Collections teams to obtain remits and post payments in full to ensure application and unapplied cash targets are met or exceeded.
- Process adjustments to customer accounts for credits/debits and account bank fee charge-offs.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to customer payments, collaborating with the Collections teams to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Respond to Collection team questions for quick resolution and feedback in a timely manner.
- Responsible for correcting incorrectly applied payments.
- Identify daily unapplied amounts and post to customer accounts.
- Identify any receipts that are not customer related and follow-up on proper GL code for posting.
Reconcile daily cash balance.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, as assigned
Summary of Experience and Education:
High School diploma and 2-4 years related experience.
Business or Accounting degree or related certifications preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
