The Department of Pediatrics in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo is seeking a clinical geneticist to join the Division of Genetics. The division provides outpatient and inpatient diagnosis and management as part of a clinical group that includes other faculty, nurses, genetic counselors, a pharmacist, and a metabolic dietitian.
The successful candidate will join our faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates should hold an MD or DO degree or equivalent and be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG).

Opportunity Highlights- We provide premier health care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Western New York and beyond and are designated by the NY State Department of Health as the Regional Perinatal Center for Western NY
- Exciting and active basic research and clinical research programs
- Faculty provide counseling, genetic testing, and coordination of care for individuals and/or families with or at risk of genetic disorders
- Faculty has a track record of accomplishments that have won them international recognition as innovators who have improved children's health worldwide, including the Guthrie test for early diagnosis of phenylketonuria and the development of surfactant for respiratory distress syndrome of prematurity
- Work with medical students and residents who rotate through the division and, if desired, help teach medical genetics to first-year medical students
