About the Role
Reporting directly to our Founder & CEO, we are looking for a Chief of Staff to work closely with the entire leadership team. Your role is to amplify the impact of the team by bringing analytical and organizational capabilities to functions that don’t have repeatable processes established yet or don’t yet have a clear long term owner on our small (but mighty!) team, with a particular focus on all aspects of finance and business operations. You will be expected to lead projects and own processes that span across verticals - including financial management, HR and administration, risk management, outsourced Legal, central IT and other key business operations areas.
This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by developing streamlined systems, fostering fiscal stability, and providing the foundation for our mission's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing counsel on important decisions and initiatives
- Maintain financial reports, analyze the data and make recommendations
- Build board presentations and internal dashboards to help keep the company’s performance transparent to all and to support important decision making
- Help oversee and improve areas of business operations, such as HR, recruiting, IT, contract management, and other important central functions
- Support fundraising by preparing forecasts, cohort analysis, data room, and materials for Series A financing, including market sizing, data visualization, and other collateral preparation
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, developing contingency plans as needed
About You
- We’re looking for a self-starter who is scrappy, thrives in fast-paced startup environments and loves to solve problems
- Extremely well organized and detail oriented — you are quick to follow up and are comfortable with juggling multiple projects without ever dropping the ball
- Flexible, adaptable and able to reprioritize easily based on evolving business needs
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings in a clear and actionable manner visually and verbally
- Experience building and maintaining financial models to understand and forecast business performance and cash flows
- 2-4 years of prior experience, preferably in an FP&A, investment banking, business consulting role; or in a finance role at a technology startup or luxury retailer
- BA / BS Finance or Business Management degree or equivalent practical experience
- Reside or be willing to relocate to the New York area (this is a hybrid role, with a requirement to spend 3 days per week in our Tribeca office)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
We expect a tremendous amount from our Chief of Staff. It is an intense job, but we know it will be one of the most rewarding positions and opportunities to get started in the venture capital business.
Perks of joining team In-Seam
- Opportunity to make a significant impact in shaping the growth and direction of a dynamic startup in the luxury market
- Competitive compensation package including equity options and benefits, including:

- Hybrid Role (3 days per week in-person at Tribeca office for NY-Metro area residents)
- Target total compensation of $100,000 - $150,000 / yr plus equity
