Company Overview:
A well-established civil engineering firm is seeking an experienced Sr Roadway & Transportation Engineer to join their Indiana office. This role involves collaborating with a highly skilled team to develop and deliver state and locally funded transportation projects throughout the state of Indiana.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in defining project scope, schedules, and budgets for new initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers and CAD designers to ensure their growth and development.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external sub-consultants to integrate all project elements.
- Contribute to the preparation of Letters of Interest (LOI) for local and state-funded projects.
- Review and validate design calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Oversee and review drawings and project plans for multiple ongoing projects while effectively managing and prioritizing timelines.
- Engage with current and prospective clients to understand project requirements, offer recommendations, and foster long-term partnerships.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least four years of experience in roadway engineering or a similar discipline.
- Active Indiana PE license or the ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Strong organizational abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to clients and team members.
