About the role/Duties:
- The key purpose of the Business Analyst is to gather data, track status and provide reporting for a wide variety of change initiatives driven by business, legal, regulatory, compliance or market requirements. The change portfolio includes a mix of strategic, discretionary and mandated initiatives.
- This role's primary focus is the business analysis focused on projects within Regulatory Change, with associated project management tasks possible.
- Work cross-functionally gathering data from project team members including the Front Office, Report Preparation, Technology, Change Management and multiple bank technology systems. Some of the types of project data to be gathered will be financial status, risk status, current project priorities, accomplishments, schedule updates and technology updates.
- Document business requirements in coordination with the Technology teams and Report Preparation teams for development of Technology cost estimates.
- Assist multiple project teams across multiple Change Management portfolios.
- Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with individuals at different levels in the organization.
- For lower complexity, and lower financial risk projects, the Business Analyst may be given project management responsibility with an assigned mentor.
- This role requires excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of Business Analysis experience in project management or change management in a banking environment
- Advanced Excel, Power Point and MS Word Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of structured project management methods lilke PMP or Agile Framework
- Product Knowledge: global markets or global banking products
- Knowledge of structured business analysis (e.g. 6 Sigma) techniques.
- Knowledge of sales/trading and post trade processing
- Knowledge of different reporting tools like Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
