The Atlantic Group has partnered with an investment firm in the Southport, CT area. They have an immediate need for a Loan Analyst to join their team. This position is a full-time contract role with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance.
Loan Servicing Analyst Job Description:
The Loan Servicing Analyst will report to the Managing Director of Loan Operations & Servicing and will support the servicing and document administration of mortgage loans held in the firm’s funds. Individual will work closely with the investment team, borrowers, law firms and accounting to provide the highest standards of service through the lifecycle of a loan.
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
Job Requirements:
An applicant for the position of Loan Servicing Analyst will have earned a bachelor’s degree. Preferably, the applicant will have three to five years of loan servicing experience at either a bank or an asset management firm in a loan servicing role.
Job Duties:
· Onboard newly originated loans into the firm’s mortgage servicing software each week; coordinate with investment team to resolve discrepancies; track open items.
· Lead document administration efforts for the team – collect closing binders, ensure original and recorded documents have been collected, send documents to/retrieve documents from custodian, archive paid off loans.
· Respond to internal and external requests accurately and in a timely manner.
· Process payments, payoff requests and construction draws per the company’s servicing guidelines.
· Partner with Asset Management to drive collections of aged payments.
· Work with taxing authorities to verify account statuses and resolve outstanding issues.
· Perform appropriate actions to facilitate successful execution of outsourced activities (insurance, release preparation and document custody).
· Establish relationships with borrowers and law firms to ensure smooth execution of responsibilities.
· Escalate and document critical issues appropriately and timely.
· Assist in preparation of monthly reporting metrics.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Familiarity with loan terms/agreements and related documentation.
• Ability to set priorities and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables on a timely basis.
• Must be able to work independently, efficiently and possess excellent organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to interpret loan terms succinctly and effectively with borrowers and provide detailed backup to support issue resolution.
• Experience with The Mortgage Office servicing platform a plus.
