WHAT YOU WILL DO
The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing new formulations that meet both efficacy and pricing targets, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring these products to market.
In this role you will:
- Lead the development of new powder, tablet, and capsule formulas that align with financial goals and consumer needs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to ingredients, packaging, certifications, and clinical studies.
- Ensure product formulations are compliant with certification requirements (e.g., GF, Non-GMO, Kosher, Certified Organic, etc.)
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop Supplement Facts Panels and provide critical product information.
- Vet new suppliers, ensuring the highest quality and compliance standards.
- Recommend and implement formula modifications to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Design and execute testing protocols for new ingredients and products.
- Create and evaluate product samples, ensuring they meet strict quality standards.
- Assist in scaling up production processes for new formulas and troubleshoot production issues.
- Engage with sales teams to support product inquiries and client communications.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in dietary supplements development, OTC drugs, or food production sectors
- Deep knowledge and experience with powders, tablets, and capsules, equipment, and dosage formulations, including sustained release mechanisms.
- Familiarity with the handling of hazardous materials, protective measures, and the compounding process, either through practical experience or academic study.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong mathematical proficiency, and expertise in the metric system.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly and demonstrate resilience amid changing priorities and business needs.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and open communication.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy, high attention to detail, and achieve development goals under pressure.
