We are seeking a professional and motivated Communications Coordinator to support a dynamic Public Relations Agency that handles high-profile and confidential clients. The ideal candidate is smart, reliable, trainable, and can manage tasks with common sense and urgency. This role involves assisting with media relations, client interactions, administrative duties, and content creation. It requires someone who is hardworking, accountable, and skilled. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, Psychology, or related field is highly preferred.
- 1-3 years of PR or communications experience.
- Strong grammar, writing, and editing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Reliable and able to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in PR-related software (Cision, Meltwater, etc.) and social media tools (Hootsuite).
- Attention to detail in press briefing books and media reports.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and pitching unique story angles for media placements.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets (trades, broadcast, national).
- Serve as a point of contact for high-profile clients, participating in client meetings and briefings.
- Draft and edit press releases, award nominations, social media posts, and client-facing materials.
- Being a brand ambassador for the company and with general deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain press briefing books, media reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Support internal teams with project tracking, client updates, and general communications.
Schedule:
- Hybrid: Monday and Friday remote, with at least two days per week on-site.
Compensation:
- Up to $100K salary, great health benefits offered, 401K match.
