Carney Badley Spellman, PS, is seeking a real estate litigation associate with 1 to 2 years of experience. Our dynamic team of litigators represents a wide range of businesses and individuals in federal and state court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution venues. Our litigators represent people and entities, large and small, across diverse industries with a broad-based litigation practice.
Successful candidates will be eager to practice law at a high level, committed to professionalism and excellence, have a strong work ethic and academic credentials, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.
Skills Needed to be Effective in This Role
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in litigation, focusing on landlord-tenant disputes, commercial litigation, and business & commercial law.
- Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make strategic decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including building rapport with clients, fellow attorneys, and staff.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Experience with electronic discovery and litigation support tools
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Base Compensation: $131,000 - $142,000
The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process. It will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
