Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Mainframe z/OS Operations Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in JCL, DB2, IMS, storage, and system monitoring.
This role involves ensuring the stability and performance of z/OS systems, managing resources, and handling on-call support with severity-based incident management.
Experience with z/OS Connect, CA-7, BMC products, OMEGAMON, and Tableau is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 24/7 operational support, monitoring, and tuning for mainframe z/OS systems.
• Manage JCL, job scheduling, DB2, IMS, and storage.
• Utilize z/OS Connect for system integration.
• Participate in on-call rotation, addressing issues based on severity.
• Implement automation and collaborate on system improvements. Qualifications:
• 8+ years in mainframe z/OS operations.
• Proficient in JCL, DB2, IMS, storage, z/OS Connect, CA-7, BMC products, OMEGAMON, and Tableau.
• Good at handling Incident/Release/Change Management using BMC Remedy.
• Knowledge of Third-party products such as (CA, BMC, IBM, SAS, etc) and handling them on various Dev/Test/Prod LPARs.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Accounts Receivable and payment experience is advantageous.
