Micro-Tech USA: System Administrator / Level 1 Engineer Position Available in Chicago, IL
Join Micro-Tech USA, a leading multiservice IT provider with a 30-year legacy of implementing innovative technologies and providing exceptional on-site and off-site support. We are currently seeking a dedicated System Administrator / Level 1 Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL.
Role Responsibilities:
- On-site support for our clients in ad around Chicago, IL
- Handling and closing short tickets efficiently and professionally
- Support other members of your team
- Ability to handle level 1 and 2 tickets ranging from helping with setup of new computers to creating new accounts.
- Daily driving with a personal car (mileage reimbursed).
Location and Work Arrangement:
- Based near Chicago, IL with the ability to drive to client offices.
- A reliable car is required for this role.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a network or systems administrator.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols.
- Deadline and detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019, and Active Directory.
- Expertise in promoting/demoting Domain Controllers and maintaining domain health.
- Understanding of IP Networking, including subnetting and IP Addressing.
- Ability to make basic changes in network switches using the CLI.
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Scripting with Powershell.
- Experience with Connectwise Manage and Ninja RMM.
- Certifications in Cisco, HP, or Microsoft.
- Proficiency in imaging PCs with MDT or Microsoft AutoPilot.
