The primary responsibilities of Trader include, but are not limited to:
- Executing orders generated by the Firm’s optimization tools across a broad range of instruments, such as Bonds, bank loans, Structured Credit products (CLOs, MBS, etc.), Credit default swaps and equities.
- Monitoring existing positions across the Firm’s portfolios and the key risk metrics.
- Analyzing all aspects of the execution, including transaction costs analysis, improve execution and reduce costs.
- Reviewing and challenging data (both inputs and outputs) to ensure data accuracy.
- Ensuring trading aligns with best execution requirements and policies.
- Gathering market insights from dealers and relaying them to the Risk Management and Research Teams.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-4 years of executing a broad range of fixed income instruments (both rates and credit) such as cash bonds, loans, interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, structured products (CLOs, MBS, etc.), and equities, in either buy-side or sell-side institutions.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of best execution practices and strong relationships with dealers in the fixed-income space.
- Risk Metrics: Solid grasp of key risk metrics used in the fixed-income space (both interest rates and credit).
- Accuracy: High level of accuracy and great attention to detail.
- Market Experience: Experience in both developed and emerging markets is preferable, though candidates with strong experience in either will be considered.
