Job Description: Hardware Test Automation Engineer (Wearables)
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Test Automation Engineer to join our Automation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience working with hardware test equipment. The primary responsibility of this role will be to develop and implement automation scripts to control various lab instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Extensive experience automating hardware tests and lab test equipment
- Develop resilient procedures and implement reliable software patterns to automate controlling devices
- Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates within specifications
- Regular interaction with various operating systems and protocols; macOS, windows, unix, ADB devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
- Stay up to date with new technologies and tools to continuously improve our automation capabilities
- Experience working with hardware and interacting with it through software
