Join us as a Telecommunications Engineer. This role entails overseeing all facets of technical design and development within a remote environment, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, primarily focusing on healthcare projects.
The Low Voltage Telecommunications Designer will play a key role in the entire telecommunications design process including preliminary assessments, concept creation, design, problem resolution, drawing and specification production, and client and vendor accessibility.
Responsibilities:
- Design, document, and test data, voice, and video cabling in accordance with industry standards
- Oversee the inspection, documentation, and evaluation of cabling infrastructures
- Collaborate across departments to determine optimal system implementations
- Serve as the primary telecommunications liaison between clients, architects, and engineers
- Attend client meetings and site visits as necessary
- Provide end-user training as needed
Requirements:
- A degree (associate's, bachelor's, or technical institute), or equivalent experience, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 years of design experience, with a focus on IT infrastructure projects.
- Certification as a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is required.
- Proficiency in designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings, along with knowledge of relevant industry standards is essential.
