Senior Post-Silicon Validation & Characterization Engineer - Ethernet Interfaces
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Post-Silicon Validation & Characterization Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge Ethernet IP and interfaces integrated into our upcoming ASICs. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive validation and characterization plans, meticulously examining compliance with the relevant IEEE 802.3 standards. Your deep understanding of Ethernet technologies, proficiency with test equipment, and knowledge of Forward Error Correction (FEC) will be instrumental in achieving success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of post-silicon validation and characterization plans for Ethernet interfaces.
• Collaborate with design, architecture, and firmware teams to define test cases and ensure comprehensive coverage of functional, performance, and power requirements.
• Select, configure, and operate a variety of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, BERTs (Bit Error Rate Testers), logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Develop automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and repeatability of testing.
• Analyze test results, identify and debug issues, and work with cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
• Generate detailed reports documenting test results, analysis, and conclusions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Ethernet technologies and IEEE standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in validation and characterization methodologies.
Required Skills:
• BSEE or MSEE with 5+ years of experience in post-silicon validation and characterization of high-speed interfaces.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet technologies, including various IEEE 802.3 clauses (e.g., 10GBASE-T, 25GBASE-CR, 100GBASE-KR4).
• Expertise in test equipment operation and automation, including oscilloscopes, BERTs, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Deep knowledge of Forward Error Correction (FEC) techniques and their implementation in Ethernet systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, TCL) for test automation and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $88,800 - $1,87,740/year.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
