SQL Developer
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our dynamic team and help us optimize our data processes. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing and improving our existing SQL queries, data flow, and ingest processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our data-driven operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of our current SQL development processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending best practices.
- Query Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing TSQL queries to enhance performance, reduce query execution time, and improve data retrieval efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in SQL development, with a proven track record of optimizing complex queries and data pipelines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, TSQL, ETL tools, and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with BI tools and data warehousing concepts is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve data-related issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Client-Facing Skills: Ability to represent the organization professionally in client interactions and presentations.
- Data Flow Analysis: Evaluate our data flow pipelines, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implement strategies to streamline data movement and improve overall data quality.
- Ingest Process Assessment: Review and optimize our data ingestion processes, ensuring accurate and timely data capture from various sources.
- Business Needs Understanding: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective SQL solutions.
- Client Facing Interactions: Represent our organization in client-facing meetings and presentations, providing technical expertise and addressing data-related questions.
- Technology Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of SQL, ETL pipelines, TSQL, NoSQL databases, BI data warehousing concepts, and related technologies.
