Our client represents two of the leading cannabis brands in Massachusetts and is offering an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Sales Representative. The Role:
The Sales Representative will maximize sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within the Boston territory by effectively marketing and selling recreational cannabis products. This position requires a relationship-based approach to promoting, selling, and securing orders from both existing and prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop New Sales Opportunities: Generate new business and maintain strong relationships with current customers.
- Coordinate Order Distribution: Work closely with the Processing Manager to ensure accurate inventory availability and order fulfillment.
- Brand Representation: Promote and represent the company’s products through advertising, in-person visits, and trade events.
- Client Engagement: Connect with customers via email, phone, and in-person visits to strengthen relationships and foster sales growth.
- Product Promotion: Identify product advantages and compare offerings to competitors, creating effective sales strategies.
- Sales Strategy: Plan and organize personal sales strategy to meet targets and expand market share.
- Customer Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer issues and complaints swiftly and professionally.
- Negotiation: Work with retail stores to enhance product exposure through shelf positioning and promotional advertising.
- Trade Show Participation: Attend industry trade shows and educational events to network and promote the brand.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis products and industry trends.
- Strong ability to promote and sell products using sales techniques, marketing strategies, and customer service best practices.
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a goal-oriented mindset.
- Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while achieving sales targets.
- Existing network of cannabis retail contacts is highly preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in sales, preferably in the cannabis industry.
Compensation:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $80,000 - $100,000 per year plus commission (base salary commensurate with experience).
