We are seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to help shape the technical direction of path planning, motion planning, and flight control algorithms for advanced aircraft systems. This role plays a pivotal part in developing spatial technology aimed at improving aviation safety and accessibility for all.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Guidance, Navigation, and Control functions, including dynamic trajectory planning and Flight Envelope Protection design.
- Support GNC design specifications, validation, and verification activities.
- Generate documentation for design, analysis, specifications, and test procedures.
- Develop analysis tools and algorithms using Matlab/Simulink.
- Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and flight test activities.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as Perception, Safety, Certification, Systems, and Flight Test teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Controls, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of professional working experience.
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink.
- Knowledge in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with Git and JIRA.
- Competence in multivariable system modeling, control, analysis, and simulation in aircraft applications.
