Reputable firm in downtown San Francisco seeks a strong estate planning secretary with 3-5+ years' experience in supporting attorneys handling matters in estate planning, trust administration and probate law.
Duties
- Edit and proofread estate planning and trust administration documents
- Assist in drafting various estate planning documents (trusts, wills, assignments, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and recordation of deeds with accompanying transfer documents)
- Assist in drafting trust administration documents (checklists, certifications of trust, beneficiary releases and agreements, court petitions, probate documents, pleadings, and asset inventories)
- Assist in drafting and recording of real property transfer documents (deeds, preliminary changes of ownership, and transfer tax affidavits)
- File federal tax documents (Forms 709, 706, 8971, etc.) and probate court documents
- Prepare signing instruction memoranda and finalize estate documents for signature
- Facilitate meetings, client calls, and maintain attorney's calendars
- Notary service
- Handle other duties as assigned
