Location: Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, onsite 3 days remote the others

MUST:
- MBA
- Strong understanding of Business planning/strategic planning
- Bachelor's in business/finance (has done a capstone relating to strategic planning)
- Interest in wanting to work for a law firm or in the legal industry
- Analytical, go getter attitude, great communication
- Strong with Excel
- Demonstrated leadership in MBA program or professionally
PLUS:
- Practice admin experience within law
- Understanding of the financial performance metrics and levers critical to the successful operation of a law firm
DAY TO DAY:
Our client, a national and well-known law firm, is seeking a Practice Administration Specialist in their Philadelphia or Pittsburgh office location. This role will report to the Managing Section Director of the firm and will be responsible for making sure that resources and firm talent are utilized efficiently. This includes providing analytical thought leadership for key processes and providing project management support to ensure the successful deployment and execution of strategic initiatives.
This newly created position is aimed at a recent MBA graduate or business professional with less than three years of experience who are looking to stretch in an intellectually challenging workplace which offers career growth. The ideal candidate will be analytical, creative, politically savvy and a natural problem solver. More specifically this person will analyze practice group performance (both financial and operational) and implementing strategic steps to drive efficiency and profitability. You will build relationships with lawyers to maximize effectiveness of conflict management. This person will be a liaison to various administrative depts such as: business development, talent management, finance, and IT. The specialist will also work to develop communication tactics, assist with process improvement projects related to practice group structure and back office process, and provide financial analyst to support staffing decisions and budgeting.
