Job Summary:
The IT Operations Manager reports to the SVP of IT and is responsible for the Fogelman network infrastructure, including the company data centers and hosted environments. The IT Operations Manager will manage all 3rd party service providers, provide IT strategy recommendations and assist in supporting the property management platforms at a technical level. The IT Operations Manager will have hands-on technical expertise with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Entra Active Directory, Office 365, and networking technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Platform Administration
- Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Manage and collaborate with third party IT Vendors to ensure availability of company systems to meet business requirements.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of Microsoft Entra, Office 365, and Active Directory Environments troubleshoot complex issues, and assist with any challenges that arise.
- Develop and maintain Windows and Entra security for multiple domains with updates as necessary to group policies and permissions.
- Respond to server/service emergencies and participate in on-call rotations when necessary.
- Design, implement and administer backup and disaster recovery solutions for systems when necessary.
- Plan server upgrades, migrations, builds and other changes for company servers.
- Perform all other Administration duties for the Windows server environment
Network Infrastructure
- Installs, configures and maintains equipment for the entire network: Including routers, firewalls, wireless devices and network switches.
- Provides analysis, maintenance and support for complex challenges affecting network performance.
- Property Networking: Install and troubleshoot networking hardware as needed. Recommends Property network configurations and manage critical network systems.
- Develops and assists in the validation and troubleshooting of wired and wireless network challenges.
System Security
- Prepares a detailed monthly user review for all Active Directory users to ensure that access is appropriate and removes accounts from the system when associates terminate their employment or access to specific application is no longer needed.
- Responsible for operating, administering, and serving as a subject matter expert for network security, including but not limited to, user access, malware and antivirus protection, security awareness training and email and content filtering technology.
- Administer Ubiquiti firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
Email System Administration
- Administers filtering and relaying systems which integrate with Exchange Online environment. (Barracuda, )
- Support the day-to- day operations of the Microsoft Exchange Online environment, to include proper functioning of the system.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Creation of Exchange mailboxes, distribution groups, and mail enabled contacts.
- Troubleshoot mail delivery related challenges as they arise.
Help Desk
- Serves as administrator, single point of contact for 3rd party service provider
- Serves as Tier 3 escalation point for resolution of help ticket escalated from third party Support
- Performs a periodic review of Help Desk tickets handled by third party service provider
- Act as primary interface between third party support for server and network challenges
- Provide the highest level of technical support for the entire network infrastructure.
- Assist with on-site help desk needs at corporate office for executive team.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a similar field of study and at least five years of experience in a Sr. IT Support or network administrator role working in a multi-site environment.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proven experience in VM Management, LAN/WAN Infrastructure Management, Cyber Security, Active Directory, Azure Cloud, Microsoft365, and similar IT domains.
- Professional IT Experience of more than three years is required. At least three years in Senior IT technical roles with three or more additional years in a hands-on IT Management and Leadership role is preferred.
- Project and process management skills, including the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A player-coach mentality, with the ability to lead from the front while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong work ethic (takes ownership) and quick-study mentality; a track record of leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead top-priority projects; Results-driven.
- Multifamily experience a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with on-site teams, Executives and Property Owners/Clients.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate complex figures and amounts.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
