PROJECT MANAGER

We are seeking a Project Manager - Capital Projects to oversee resources and cross-functional efforts, ensuring the successful delivery of capital project milestones for large client-sponsored projects. The Project Manager will manage communications with project stakeholders and collaborate with client project teams to ensure client satisfaction, achieving deliverables on time and within scope.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive adherence to contractual commitments for capital-related client projects: develop or assist in project plans, including resources, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects of various sizes, budgets, and scopes to meet objectives.
- Act as a liaison between the company and client to ensure mutual agreement on contract scope and schedule.
- Monitor trends and implement continuous improvement within the project management process.
- Develop and distribute periodic reports on project performance, issues, risks, and key activity schedules.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify, escalate, and resolve manufacturing, supply chain, or quality issues that could impact project performance.
- Facilitate effective communication with clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction in meeting project objectives.
- Work with R&D, Quality, and Operations to understand and meet "critical to quality" requirements.
- Lead and coordinate the preparation of proposals for new business RFPs and scope additions to existing projects.
- Provide guidance on business processes, communication strategies, issue resolution, and other key areas.
- Use technical judgment to bring together stakeholders, including clients and subject matter experts, to drive change and resolve issues.
LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and guidance where needed.
- Participate in the expense budget process by developing, tracking, and reporting data related to teams and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS in Engineering or a related technical degree.
- 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 5 years in project management and external customer communications.
- 5 years of demonstrated success in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and typical office noise. Appropriate PPE is required, especially in sterile environments. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Extensive project management experience and familiarity with project management tools and systems.
- Strong understanding of project and master planning, as well as budgeting.
- Working knowledge of biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, product/process development, and supply chain operations in a cGMP-regulated environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong business negotiation skills.
- Proven leadership and influencing skills in a diverse team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and Word.
- Technical knowledge of Organic Chemistry.
- Broad expertise in Engineering, Manufacturing Equipment, Facilities, and Utilities, including commissioning, qualification, and validation.
- In-depth knowledge of pilot-to-manufacturing scale unit operations, scale-up processes, and plant design considerations.
