Job Description Summary:
The Manager is tasked with overseeing Application Management and Analytics within our company. The role involves managing our enterprise applications, data analytics, and business intelligence tools to ensure a seamless operation. This role acts as a nexus for strategic decision-making backed by data insights. We're seeking a candidate with robust experience in IT management, application lifecycle management, and data analytics.
The candidate will execute company projects and technology deployments as a project team member or leader. The person in this position will aid in implementing long-term information strategies that continually upgrade our overall maturity. They will also mentor and supervise technical staff and managed service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Management:
- Manage enterprise application's lifecycle including their deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Ensure applications' alignment with business needs and integration with existing systems.
- Implement protocols for optimal application security, reliability, and performance.
- Monitor application performance and optimize resource utilization.
Data Analytics and Business Intelligence:
- Develop and execute analytics and business intelligence strategies.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of data models, reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on key metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and quality across all analytics platforms.
Leadership:
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Establish clear performance criteria, conduct periodic assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Act as a liaison between IT and other departments to align objectives and improve communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in IT management, application management, or analytics.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and enterprise software systems.
- Excellent project management skills with Agile or similar methodologies.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly skilled at problem-solving and anticipating scenarios for quick action.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
- Strict compliance with company's confidentiality and ethical standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies.
- Understanding of data governance and data management practices.
- Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or relevant analytics tools.
- Experience in the agricultural industry, especially the swine sector.
