Summary
Responsible for overall coordination between US-based customers and global GoerTek teams, you will interact with customer operations, CAPEX, and engineering teams daily, and be responsible for driving schedules and deliverables from GoerTek teams in China.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the responsibility for Product Design Proposal (among global GoerTek teams) based on customer specifications.
- Monitors all NPI activities, from design kick-off, tooling, engineering builds through mass production, assessing schedule and cost impact.
- Interacts with customer needs regarding priorities, deadlines, and quantities. Drive factory for on time deliverables.
- Support on manufacturing process improvements and materials cost reduction projects.
- Coordinate CAPEX and Tooling Equipment costs among GoerTek teams
- Coordinate automation standard reports and return of investment to customer.
- Maintains documentation of customer communication, processing data, and other pertinent product information.
- Support on new product introduction stage major failures and close up corrective actions for mass production.
- Develops relationship with customer engineering, operations, and automation teams.
- Support on new business opportunities and contribute on market research.
- Contribute to RFQ/RFP proposals to win new business opportunities.
Requirements
- BS degree is required.
- Minimum of four years of operations and/or project management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Must have experience in the consumer electronics industry.
- Knowledge in manufacturing process, cost reduction projects, return of investment, and lean manufacturing.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills within various cross-functional engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of basic manufacturing techniques – SMT, tooling, injection molding, metal stamping, product assembly and system testing.
- Working knowledge of production and quality control procedures used in a manufacturing environment
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Effective skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships.
- The base pay range for this role is between $127,029and $177,840 annually and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Preferred Skills
- Fluent in Chinese Mandarin is highly desired.
- Experience in product design in either product assembly, mechanical design and system integration, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or PMP
