Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Salary: $195,000 - $240,000 + Bonus
Our client is a leading global pharmaceutical company dedicated to improving and saving lives through the discovery, development, and distribution of innovative and high-quality medicines. With a commitment to scientific excellence and ethical practices, they strive to make a positive impact on healthcare. They are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join their legal team as a Senior Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing legal guidance and support to various departments within our organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including licensing agreements, research and development contracts, manufacturing agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Regulatory compliance of pharmaceutical laws and regulations, providing advice to internal stakeholders on compliance matters. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
- Manage and oversee legal disputes, including coordination with external counsel when necessary. Provide strategic advice to minimize legal risks and exposure.
- Collaborate with the intellectual property team to protect and enforce the company's intellectual property rights. Conduct due diligence on intellectual property matters related to business transactions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Juris Doctor or international equivalent.
- Bar admission in at least one state and qualified to practice in-house in PA.
- 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written). Ability to simplify complex legal issues in a clear and understandable manner. Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members.
- Proven experience in managing legal disputes and litigation.
- Proactive and agile to work in a fast-paced environment.
