Role Overview:
As a Backend Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in collaborating with product teams to define features that align with business objectives. Working closely with our talented development team, you will drive technical execution with a focus on backend development. This role emphasizes hands-on coding expertise, ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable solutions. You'll contribute to innovative backend architectures and systems while upholding the highest standards of quality in your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant backend architectures
- Develop and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs for frontend and third-party integrations
- Optimize system performance, including database query efficiency and caching strategies
- Lead incident response efforts and coordinate cross-team problem-solving
- Implement security best practices, including authentication and authorization systems
- Design and develop microservices-based architectures
- Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
- Drive innovation through research and adoption of emerging technologies
- Implement observability solutions and comprehensive monitoring systems
- Design and optimize database schemas and data storage solutions
- Develop data processing systems and analytics pipelines
- Create data interfaces and reporting systems to meet business requirements
- Take ownership of core components, demonstrating end-to-end expertise
- Execute complex projects while maintaining high standards of quality
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Implement message queues and event-driven architectures for high-volume data processing
- Explore and implement serverless computing solutions where appropriate
Qualifications:
- Mastery of advanced programming concepts (design patterns, concurrency, distributed systems)
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong background in database management and optimization
- Expertise in API development and microservices architecture
- Proven track record in incident management and problem-solving
- Experience with version control systems and code review processes
- Proficiency in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of security best practices in backend development
- Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures
- Excellent mentorship and leadership skills
- Sharp analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
