Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant to join their team in the Greater Tampa Bay area. The Senior Accountant position will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and facilitating the smooth execution of financial transactions. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving financial integrity and providing insights that support informed decision-making across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for month-end close duties including reviewing, preparing, and maintaining recurring and ad-hoc journal entries
- Responsible for bringing efficiencies to the month-end close process to reduce days to close
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform month-end general ledger research and variance analysis
- Provide support with tax returns and year end audit
- Work with other departments on the development and implementation of process and system improvements
- Perform special projects as determined by management
- May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or relevant field
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with multiple entity consolidation including international entities
- Experience with Sales &Use and Corporate Income Tax a plus
- Experience with Inventory and manufacturing accounting a plus
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Experience with Enterprise ERP software, NetSuite preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Can work independently and without supervision when required
