We've been engaged by an enormously successful 1st generation e-commerce business in Cheshire, CT to recruit for an Operations Analyst role. This role is a new position being created to support rapid expansion over the last few years coupled with robust anticipated growth. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and support his responsibilities, including procurement, vendor management, and administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed pricing analyses for proposed inventory purchases and collaborate with the COO to finalize decisions.
- Assist the COO in managing procurement, vendor relations, and pricing.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with key vendors, acting as the primary contact.
- Analyze vendor data and performance metrics to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present vendor performance reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends & best practices in procurement & vendor management.
