The Axel Group is seeking a highly experienced AEC/Construction Talent Acquisition Specialist for our prestigious client in Atlantic County, NJ! (ON SITE) The clientele of the firm ranges across a variety of industries, including hospitality, banking, retail, education, entertainment, healthcare, and more!
The Internal Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for sourcing and interviewing candidates through to onboarding, communicating with hiring managers and developing a seamless recruiting process. You will also travel to events and career fairs, representing the company at various conventions (no overnight travel).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine job descriptions.
- Post job openings on relevant platforms to attract qualified candidates.
- Create and customize applicant questionnaires based on needs from hiring managers.
- Distribute questionnaires to applicants to gather relevant information.
- Share booking links with applicants to facilitate interview scheduling.
- Conduct brief virtual interviews to assess candidate suitability.
- Review the application funnel in collaboration with hiring managers to evaluate candidate progress.
- Develop prompts or case studies
- Distribute prompts or case studies to applicants for completion as part of the selection process.
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers once candidates have completed the prompts.
- Prepare and send offer letters to selected candidates.
- Oversee employee onboarding for new hires upon acceptance of offers.
- Manage offboarding processes for employees who resign or are terminated.
Qualifications:
- Experience in talent acquisition/recruiting, preferably within the construction or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, including key roles, required skills, and current market trends.
- Expertise in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates using various methods, including social media, job boards, and networking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and hiring managers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace, with an understanding of the importance of cultural fit in hiring.
- Ability to identify challenges in the recruitment process and develop innovative solutions to attract top talent.
Compensation range: $90,000- $100,000 (dependent on experience)
