Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Survey Manager to join our team for a construction project in Louisiana.

- Estimated duration of the position: 4years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
-Summary: the Survey Manager is committed to supporting the company by overseeing the survey team and all surveying activities associated with engineering and construction for the Project.
-Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Survey tracking and management of the project.
- Organizes the Survey crews on site.
- Organizes recurrent quantity tracking survey campaigns.
- Coordinates with client and other third parties to resolve high level technical issues to obtain final approval of the executed works.
- Identifies, manages, and assists in the preparation of proposals for design alternatives that are beneficial for the project.
- Tracks all Survey for the project through his team.
- Provides contractual support from a technical point of view to other project contracts: contracting support, technical interface with specialized subcontractors, technical disputes, etc.
- Identifies technical risks and participates in the preparation of risk reports.
- Participates in the review of the Project budget forecasts, providing the necessary technical part for its realization.
- Support in the execution stage (project assistance team to resolve nonconformities, RFI with designers and unexpected events during construction).
- Advises/participates in the formalization of contracts with engineering companies and/or survey subcontractors.
- Guarantees the correct transmission of design information to the entire project team.
- Collaborates on the technical claims of the project.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
-Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years experience as a Survey Manager in bridge/highway/ concrete structures or similar kind of projects.
- High School diploma or equivalent .
- Proven experience working with Trimble equipment, and progressive managerial experience.
- Experience with Design Build Contracts is preferred.
- Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
- Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
- Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.
- Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches.
- Ability to function effectively as a team player and collaborator.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, as needed, to best serve the business operations.
