Position Overview: The Mental Health Worker is responsible for providing compassionate care and support to individuals experiencing mental health issues. This role involves direct client interaction, facilitating therapy sessions, assisting with case management, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and psychological support to clients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and improving their overall well-being.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes, progress reports, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with external agencies and community resources to provide holistic support to clients.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct initial assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and areas for intervention.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress regularly, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client cases and treatment strategies.
- Provide immediate support and intervention during mental health crises.
- Develop and implement safety plans to address acute mental health needs.
- Collaborate with emergency services and other relevant agencies during crises.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
- Advocate for clients’ rights and needs within the healthcare system and the broader community.
- Promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma through outreach and education initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a mental health or social services setting.
- Licensure/Certification: Relevant licensure or certification preferred (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
