Our client, a large eCommerce Marketplace brand, is looking for a talented copywriter who can own the storytelling experience for key initiatives across the company’s platforms and channels. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of developing, implementing, and delivering engaging, educational, and inspiring content. We’re seeking someone who can integrate the brand’s unique voice and tone into every customer interaction within the ecommerce environment, digital products, and through product marketing. You’ll help define how the company communicates with sellers and buyers, creating written content for multiple channels. As an effective storyteller, you are passionate about delivering high-impact, data-driven content that supports our audiences. You will translate complex ideas into clear and engaging communications, infused with the brand's personality, tone, and voice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead copy and content efforts for key initiatives within the Global Content Studio and Brand Programs team.
- Develop copy for emails, on-site materials, advertising, product flows, email marketing campaigns, articles, landing pages, social media, and other communications.
- Collaborate with Brand and Content Strategy teams to deliver on key value propositions defined by messaging frameworks.
- Advocate for the brand's tone and voice, ensuring consistent messaging across all initiatives.
- Lead test-and-learn copy sprints, incorporating results and data into iterative approaches.
- Adhere to brand strategy, guidelines, and tone of voice as outlined in strategic documents, playbooks, and style guides.
- Work closely with Studio operations to ensure projects are on track and meet deadlines.
- Gain insights from sellers and buyers to better address their needs.
- Create and maintain editorial and educational content.
- Incorporate SEO and conversion strategies into content development.
- Manage content in custom content management systems.
- Guide content through approval processes.
- Analyze content performance to drive improvements and increase effectiveness.
- Participate in regular meetings with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers, as well as Marketing, Brand, Legal, and the wider Global Brand Content Studio teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Experience with brand strategy, ensuring content aligns with on-brand messaging and creative.
- Ability to work independently, proactively seeking information from subject matter experts.
- Passionate and purpose-driven in performing tasks.
- Keeps up with digital marketing and ecommerce trends.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with content management systems and email marketing tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Data-driven mindset, using data and statistical analysis to measure success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in global environments, with an understanding of cultural differences and how to adapt communications.
- 7+ years of editorial experience in marketing, tech, journalism, product, or related fields.
