Kirby Bates Associates has been exclusively retained by Adirondack Health to conduct a search for their Executive Director, Adirondack Health Foundation.
Adirondack Health, a not-for-profit organization, is committed to serving the community in the heart of the Saranac Lake region of the Adirondacks. The Adirondack Medical Center – Saranac Lake with 95 beds and 24-hour emergency care, offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services and overlooks beautiful Lake Colby. Additional facilities in Adirondack Health include the Lake Placid Health and Medical Fitness Center which opened in 2019 and five primary care health centers in surrounding communities. The Adirondack Health Foundation raises, invests, and distributes funds in support of Adirondack Health.
The Executive Director, Adirondack Health Foundation (Executive Director) is responsible for steering the vision, strategy, and oversight of the Adirondack Health Foundation. The Executive Director will design and implement comprehensive fundraising programs to achieve philanthropic goals, manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors and potential donors, and cultivate and secure significant and transformational gifts. The Executive Director will report to the President/CEO; three staff report to the Executive Director.

Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
*Minimum of 6 years in fundraising for a nonprofit organization, with demonstrated results in leadership and success in securing major, planned, and transformational gifts of $5M or more.
*Ability to travel in the region and work a flexible schedule.
*Preferred certifications: Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE), Fellow of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP), or Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG).
